I noticed in my
recent dreams, I had been praying and ministering to people and when bad things happened, I
would immediately bind it in my dreams. I would also bind the enemy's plans
after I woke up just in case I forgot to do it in my dreams. Nowadays my dreams
are interactive, which means that I am somewhat conscious of what is happening
and can participate in it. I was no longer passive in my dreams or being carried along with the flow of the dreams. I could 'will'
the dream to take on the direction I wanted.
This morning I had a
dream where I found myself in Hong Kong. It was like I was teleported there. I
saw for my own eyes how bad the situation was in Hong Kong and my heart went
out to the people there. So I bound the works of the enemy in that place and covered
it with the blood of Jesus. When I woke up, I suddenly had this revelation that
taking authority over a region for Jesus need not be limited to my waking
hours.
Even in my dreams,
God can still work out His redemptive plans through my prayers. He can still use me to pray
against the enemy in my dreams. Wow! This was like a whole new level for me!
This means that even when I dream, I can do warfare and take new grounds for
God. Whatever I dreamt of, things really happened in the spiritual realm. When
I experienced a breakthrough in my dreams, it would affect and change the
course of my waking life. Isn't this amazing!
I still don't have
control over what I dream about. It is God who is orchestrating it. But I can
cooperate with Him be it in my waking hours or in my dream. I just avail myself
for His use. This notion of taking authority over the enemy is not just limited
to our consciousness, but also in our dreams. In fact, dreams are
spiritual because we have no control over it and they are more real than things we see in our daily lives. Besides it is in the
spiritual realm that battles are fought and won.
Mastery over our
dreams just means that we have become more effective in prophetic prayers
because we are not limited by our flesh in our dreams. Since dreams are supernatural, we are not affected by our natural senses. Not only that even if
bad things happened in our dreams, we still have a chance to bind them and
change the course of things in our waking lives. It is like a second chance.
God is giving us advance notice to learn about the enemy's plans and to foil
them before they get to manifest in the natural. In a way I realised that dreams could be a powerful spiritual weapon, just like speaking in tongues, worship or declaring God’s word.
I haven't fully
grasped the life-changing effect of this revelation of doing warfare in dreams.
But this is just the beginning. Yet I know this revelation is so powerful. A
game-changer. The enemy must be cringing now. Not only is the Lord downloading
blueprints and strategies but He is teaching us to do warfare in our dreams to
secure the victory in the spiritual realm so that we would not be caught
unawares in our waking time. The good thing is also possibly less warfare in our conscious life.
