PREPARATION FOR JOSEPH PEOPLE: PART III

Dear brethren, I have just uploaded the third part to the training for Joseph people. This session talks about how to hear God’s voice, the importance of consecration now and the new wineskin. This is truly a word for the season. I believe God wants you to hear His voice more so than ever before so as to get ready for what is coining in Sep. It is also important to press into the Lord to seek His ways for the old methods had passed away. God is bringing us to cross the Jordan and we have not passed this way before. Hence the need to stay close to the Lord. He is releasing blueprints and strategies from Heaven.

FINALLY PAID OFF CAR LOAN

Thank God for we finally paid off our car loan yesterday! The Holy Spirit prompted me to review the excitement over buying our BMW in Aug 2015. I didn’t even know that there was a mini recession at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016. At the point of purchase we just knew that God wanted us to sow in a time of famine because the car plate number in Strong’s Greek concordance meant a hundredfold. It reminded us of Genesis 26:12. Isaac sowed in the land during a time of famine and reaped a hundredfold.  

The economic conditions in that year weren’t that good as there were speculations of going into a recession in 2016. But thank God it was only a mild recession. But back then we weren't holding back our purchase in view of a possible recession or crash in the economy. We didn't plan for that. We knew we were not confined to the world's economy but God's economy. People around us might think we were irrational to commit to such a huge purchase in such a gloomy economic outlook. But we weren't operating out of fear but out of faith in a big God. 

 

However there was a strain on our finances in 2016. We thought about selling the BMW to buy a cheaper car. We even went for a test drive for another car in Feb 2016. After that test drive, Heng was convinced that he was settling for second best if he sold our BMW. It was a faith lesson for us. What God ordered, He would pay for it. We decided to trust the Lord to provide the finances for our car though the enemy was attacking our finances ever since we bought this car. 

 

At one point, Heng thought about leaving his previous company in Jul 2016. I didn’t want him to be held back by the car loan instalments. So I told him that I was fine to sell our BMW if there was a need to downgrade should he quit his job. I had no issue with that. A car is a car. We didn’t want to be a slave to our car. Our finances got hit more badly in 2017 during the time when Heng was in between jobs. But thank God for seeing us through the lean times.

 

To be honest, there were many times in the past five years when I found coughing up the  car loan payments a stretch. I couldn’t understand why God led us to this purchase when it would stretch our finances this much. Wouldn’t we be better off if we settled for a cheaper car? Yet it was a faith test for us. God just wanted us to teach us how to sow a seed in the time of famine. 

 

That time what we couldn’t be sure was whether it was our vain desire to drive a luxury car or it was really the will of God. But we could not deny the great joy that owning this BMW gave us. We felt so loved by God when this luxury car dream was fulfilled. Like nothing was impossible for God. Yet when the attacks on finances and opposition came, we were tempted to sell the car, so as to have a more comfortable budget to work with. 

 

Well the fact that we made it through those lean years and that we finally managed to pay off the loan was testament to God’s faithfulness and goodness in our lives. It can only be God. If not, we would have already sold off the car many times. Though it was really tough at times, we gritted our teeth and pressed through, trusting that God would provide. That was really a faith journey. 

 

We have come to the end of the loan repayment and the economy is really in a big recession right now. Nobody knows how long this pandemic would last or when the economy would recover. In an uncertain climate where jobs are no longer secure or when there could be pay cuts, we are really thankful that we are released of such debt obligations. Not only that we learnt how God could really prosper us in a time of famine. 

 

Last night before I slept, I was still pondering upon the release of car loan obligations. I could not believe that the amount we paid for this car was enough to buy a Housing Development Board flat! Unbelievable! I was still wondering if we could have made better use of this money but that was all water under the bridge. 

 

The thing was not about whether we made a mistake in buying this BMW. It was about God’s goodness and faithfulness in our lives. So many times we thought of selling the car but God didn’t allow it to happen. Though it was tough at times, God gave us grace to see us through and provided us with the finances. We didn’t care about our reputation but God protected our reputation. After all it was His reputation at stake. 

 

Heng said that we finally crossed the finishing line! I believe in those lean years, God was also teaching me about financial planning. If we were never stretched in our finances, I wouldn’t have learnt to exercise financial discipline and live simply within our means. We might have gotten used to a lifestyle of spending what we earned. I might never have thought about how to invest to make our money work harder for us. So God works all things out for our good. 

 

I still feel that there are more nuggets to glean from this faith lesson. Something about sowing a seed in a time of famine. My question is whether we have reaped a hundredfold from sowing that seed in Aug 2015. God could be telling us that our harvest has now arrived after paying off our car loan. God could be testing us to see if we would hold on to His word all these years. If we didn’t give up, the seed would yield its increase. 

 

God could also be showing us how when we sowed a seed in famine, He would protect our seed and not let the enemy rob us of the harvest. In a way our seed is like the BMW. The enemy had tempted us to dig up all the seeds and eat it during those lean times. But if we ate that seed, there would not be a harvest later on. God is good to let us eat a part of the seed (through the enjoyment of the BMW) and sow a part for future harvest.   

GOD’S WORDS COMING TO PASS NOW

I was looking through my past journals and saw this post on 6 Aug 2016 that really seemed to be a now word for this season more than the past few years. Some of the words had already come to pass in my life.

1. Stewardship. How to steward this new move of God. How to continue taking new grounds after the promise manifested. Now the issue is not about breaking through the walls to possess the promise, that is already a done deal. It's like what happens next after victory. Even though battle has been won, there is still work to be done, spoils to be collected. Hence need to rest more because the upcoming months are going to busier.

 

2. Angels. I believe God is opening my spiritual eyes to see angels and how they work in my life, so I can be encouraged, as well as to align with them.

 

3. Alignment. This word has been coming up recently. How to cooperate with God in this season. The key is to draw closer to Him and to hear Him clearly, so that I can move along with His spirit in real time. No delay.

 

4. Major changes. I also got this sense that a shift has occurred in the spiritual realm and in the days and months to come I will see these major changes in my life.

 

5. New wineskins. Let go of the past for God is doing a new thing. Don't put God into a box. Don't be held back by preconceived notions of how God should act. Be open, be flexible to the new sounds, new move, new ways to minister and reach out to the lost. A lot of new things happening since July.

 

6. The wind is in my sails. Finally I got the sense of victory in July, like I wasn't being bullied by the enemy anymore. Now is time for our counter attack. The Lion of Judah is roaring and we are gaining new grounds. God is finally showing up on the scene, no more allowing the devil to attack us. It's payback time. 

 

7. Action time. That means no more waiting around, no more delay. Crossing over from a future tense to a present tense with regards to my promises. Now is the time to take possession of my inheritance. Things are also moving much faster. When things happen, it is around the same time.

 

8. Get ready. Be prepared for the blessing and promise fulfilled. Whatever the Lord tells me to do nowadays, or a prompting from Him, got to do it quickly. Because when He moves, things happen very fast.

 

9. Harvest. Inheritance. I have been seeing messages about harvest time now and about taking hold of our inheritance. There has been increased talk about moving into your promised land and possessing the possession. The Lord also brought to my mind about the harvest to our seed sown in 2011. There is an expectancy that it's going to happen this month.

 

10. Walls of Jericho came down. I also have been impressed since last month that the invisible walls have been removed, so there is no more incumbrance between me and this promise. Just need to try again. And that's exactly what God imparted into me on 31 July, the breakthrough anointing. 

 

11. Worship. The key to seeing the victory before it manifests. Continue to praise and thank God in advance. He is also releasing strategies and blueprints during worship. And also in dreams or visions. 

 

12. Divine connections. God is bringing about such connections, people who will be aligned with me in my next season. I don't know how and who these people are. I have been disappointed before while looking out for such connections but it didn't happen then. But since God brought this to remembrance again, it must be coming soon. 

 

13. Intimacy with the Lord. This is so important as we move forward into the new season and learn how to steward what He has entrusted upon us. Especially crucial time to press into God as a warrior depending on His commander's instructions on how to proceed and fight the war, collect the spoils. 

 

PREPARATION FOR JOSEPH PEOPLE: PART 2

Sowing and reaping, tithing are spiritual principles put by God as a means to bless us financially. Besides, many believers are not aware that they can reap a harvest when they sow a seed. Or that they do not know how to prepare and discern if harvest time has come. It is important to know because there is only a short window of opportunity during harvest to reap. PROPHETIC INTERCESSION IN DREAMS

I noticed in my recent dreams, I had been praying and ministering to people and when bad things happened, I would immediately bind it in my dreams. I would also bind the enemy's plans after I woke up just in case I forgot to do it in my dreams. Nowadays my dreams are interactive, which means that I am somewhat conscious of what is happening and can participate in it. I was no longer passive in my dreams or being carried along with the flow of the dreams. I could 'will' the dream to take on the direction I wanted.

This morning I had a dream where I found myself in Hong Kong. It was like I was teleported there. I saw for my own eyes how bad the situation was in Hong Kong and my heart went out to the people there. So I bound the works of the enemy in that place and covered it with the blood of Jesus. When I woke up, I suddenly had this revelation that taking authority over a region for Jesus need not be limited to my waking hours.

 

Even in my dreams, God can still work out His redemptive plans through my prayers. He can still use me to pray against the enemy in my dreams. Wow! This was like a whole new level for me! This means that even when I dream, I can do warfare and take new grounds for God. Whatever I dreamt of, things really happened in the spiritual realm. When I experienced a breakthrough in my dreams, it would affect and change the course of my waking life. Isn't this amazing!

 

I still don't have control over what I dream about. It is God who is orchestrating it. But I can cooperate with Him be it in my waking hours or in my dream. I just avail myself for His use. This notion of taking authority over the enemy is not just limited to our consciousness, but also in our dreams. In fact, dreams are spiritual because we have no control over it and they are more real than things we see in our daily lives. Besides it is in the spiritual realm that battles are fought and won.

 

Mastery over our dreams just means that we have become more effective in prophetic prayers because we are not limited by our flesh in our dreams. Since dreams are supernatural, we are not affected by our natural senses. Not only that even if bad things happened in our dreams, we still have a chance to bind them and change the course of things in our waking lives. It is like a second chance. God is giving us advance notice to learn about the enemy's plans and to foil them before they get to manifest in the natural. In a way I realised that dreams could be a powerful spiritual weapon, just like speaking in tongues, worship or declaring God’s word.

 

I haven't fully grasped the life-changing effect of this revelation of doing warfare in dreams. But this is just the beginning. Yet I know this revelation is so powerful. A game-changer. The enemy must be cringing now. Not only is the Lord downloading blueprints and strategies but He is teaching us to do warfare in our dreams to secure the victory in the spiritual realm so that we would not be caught unawares in our waking time. The good thing is also possibly less warfare in our conscious life.
