New Season of Church Service

Since 2009, our family has been attending New Creation Church (NCC) service at Suntec City, Gallery West. Because of the large congregation, the church has many satellite venues and we attend Gallery West because the Sunday school (which is called Rock Kids) happened to be there. However, this venue has ceased to be available because it has closed for renovations from June 2012.

On our last service in Gallery West in end May 2012, I felt a little nostalgic because we have been worshipping God in this venue since we stepped into the church. At that time, Joshua was about two years old and now he is nearly six years old. How time flies! I thank God because He has caused us to grow so much during these few years. He has achieved so many things for us: our moving house, my change of vocation to stay home, our stepping into ministry again etc. Yet God is telling me that to forget these things of old for He is doing a new thing in this new season (Isa 43:19).

And so, in early June 2012, we stepped into this new venue at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) for our first church service. Joshua seemed to be settling well into this new venue of Rock Kids and we are happy to be in this new venue. It is amazing when we enter into a new season, all the bad memories of the past seemed to pale as God filled my mind with fresh and exciting things of my future.

To me, physical moves are significant because it signals changes in seasons. As I reflected on my life, everytime God scheduled a physical move, it connoted a new season : season of childbearing, season of restoration at work, season of staying home and re-entering into ministry work etc. I thank God that this new season of church service is going to be a season of fruitfulness not only in childbearing but also in my ministry work! Praise Jesus!
