It has been 5 weeks since I stopped work and stayed home to look after my son. All I can say is that this time of staying home is truly so blessed because it is a dream come true for me. I consider myself blessed beyond measure because I have the whole morning to spend time with Jesus while my son goes to kindergarten. The fellowship I had with Jesus is sweet beyond words. You have to taste it yourself and see how good God is.
I was telling Heng that being able to spend 3 hours everyday just fellowshipping with God is pure luxury. I told him it was better than owning ten Louis Vuitton bags! It is during such times that I get to hear from God so clearly and also become more prompt to respond to the Holy Spirit's leading. Interestingly, even though I stay at home, God still brings across people in my paths to minister to.
It has been my heart's desire to start writing my book but ever since I stopped work, I did not feel the immediate urge to start on my book. God told me to wait upon Him and to feed on His Word first. When the time comes, He will prompt me to start writing and I will have no lack of ideas and words. In the meantime I just rest in His goodness, basking in His love for me. I am not hurried or stressed. I am at rest.
True enough, last Saturday I woke up full of ideas on what to write for my book. I quickly wrote down these ideas in my journal first. But the urge to put it down on my laptop was so strong, I could not ignore it. Finally I got down to writing chapter one of my book without even knowing how the entire structure of my book would look like. I told myself: 'It is ok, I just write when the Spirit leads and the rest of the book will fall into place.'
It was really effortless as I started writing. The ideas just kept flowing. In fact, there were so much I could write about but the Lord told me to focus on the finished work of Christ on the cross. He told me not to worry for I do not need to confine my life story and experiences into one book. I could space them out into many books with different themes, targeting different audiences.
Wow! It is indeed an exciting journey that God led me to embark on, not knowing what the next step would be. But God reassured me that He would open the doors for publishers to seek me out, so I just have to concentrate on providing the contents to my book. In fact, God also reminded me that as far as He is concerned, this book is already published. It is already a finished work. Jesus has already paid for it. I just enjoy the process of writing with no stress. What an awesome provision from my Daddy God!

Our 10th Wedding Anniversary
3rd March 2011 is our 10th wedding anniversary. It certainly did not seem like 10 years of marriage. It felt that we just got married yesterday. I told Heng the past 10 years had been very good but the best is yet to come. Our next 10 years would be even more spectacular, by the grace of God!
Yesterday we went to celebrate as a family in the afternoon, taking a ride at the Singapore Flyer and then we had dinner at food street (hawker food). Again God was so good to us. Because we had a certain membership card that was quite rare, we were entitled to 20% discount. Otherwise the tickets would cost us at least $80!
This was the second time we took the ride. The first time was last year around this period and Joshua was so excited about sitting on the Flyer. This time round, Joshua was not very interested in the scenery. He was more interested in the games in the i-phone (sigh!). What was interesting was that there were two young Japanese ladies who was commenting that Joshua is kawaii (cute) and one of them even took our family photo!

Passion of the Christ
I just finished watching the movie 'Passion of the Christ'. I know it's kind of delayed. I had been hesitating to watch it for years because I cannot bear watching my Savior been scourged and crucified. But recently the Lord impressed upon me to watch it because there would be some revelations while watching movie. Pastor Prince also mentioned that there were people who get healed while watching Jesus being scourged. By His stripes, we are healed.
Indeed there are many revelations while watching the movie, along with much tears. First of all, I was wondering why would God want to sacrifice His only Son to suffer and die for us when we don't even deserve it? As I watched, I told God why don't you just save Your Son and let the world die? The answer is this: For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
I saw how Mary's heart was crushed seeing Jesus suffer and die and I can't help but think about my Abba Father's heart. I can't even find a word to describe how God must have felt when He turned His back on Jesus, His beloved Son, who is so obedient to Him even to the point of death! Indeed what kind of God do we serve? If God did not withhold heaven's best, would He withhold anything from us? When I look at the cross, I see His heart of love. I am truly convinced that such a God cannot be anything but good. Faith is having a good opinion of God, believing in His goodness despite what bad things had happened in our lives.
Secondly, the revelation is that what Jesus suffered (the lashing, the crown of thorns, the shame, the rejection), we don't ever have to suffer again. Like what Pastor Prince said, the wrath of God is all upon Jesus and when Jesus said 'It is finished', the sacrifice is complete. The finished work of Christ is like the ashes and no fire could ever burn on the ashes again. As long as we stay in the finished work of Christ, we will be abiding in the secret place of the Most High. No judgement or wrath of God could befall us when we cling on to Jesus and His finished work.
Thirdly, when Christ rose again, He truly conquered death, the last enemy. Jesus crushed the serpent's head, rendering what Satan did to be ineffective. Because of this new covenant, we are more than conquerors in Christ. We are given the dominion over the earth once again. We can do what Jesus did on earth (heal the sick, cast out the demons and bring redemption to all). In fact, Jesus said we could do greater works than these.
I don't know about you but I am going to take Jesus' Word literally. I believe this authority to govern the earth has been given to all believers and it is up to the believer to exercise this authority. Imagine this: dominion over this earth, dominion over sicknesses and diseases, dominion over demonic powers, dominion over death even. All these are ours to claim. Let this truth sink into your hearts.
