As I was writing down the highlights of the recent posts I read, I saw a common thread. One of which was to focus and set our faces like flint. The other was don’t give up now because you are right there and you are about to occupy. You must march in to possess your promised land. It’s a month of action and movement. There shall be a release from captivity of those things holding you back. Especially for the past seven years. Not only that, expect a repayment and restoration of all that the enemy had stolen.
There is a significant shift happening right now. Especially from 10 Mar, which is the Feast of Purim, the happiest day in the month of Adar. It is also a time of cross over from the wilderness into the promised land. Nisan is the first month of the Hebrew year and a month of miracles and new beginnings. His deliverance is about to explode over our lives in a magnificent way. This is your set time. You are clothed in your cloaks and sandals in your feet. The move from captivity will be sudden, much like the Israelites on the night of Passover.
As I write, I am also reminded about how deliverance is forming in the month of Adar. Moses was born on 7 Adar and he also died on this day 120 years later. Two things are happening now leading up to the month of Nisan which will start on 26 Mar. I am taken back to the time when God sent the ten plagues in Egypt. I don’t know exactly how long the plagues lasted but some commentaries said it could be about 20 weeks or about 4-5 months for all the ten plagues.
The last plague occurred on the 14 Nisan, night before Passover feast. This date typically falls in late Mar or early Apr. This year the Passover will begin on 8 Apr. Now drawing a parallel to the world which is like Egypt, isn’t this what is happening? The virus outbreak is like a plague except that it wasn’t sent by God. But God is using it to work things out for our good. During this time, the enemy is being flushed out. He is forced to show hands. He is being chased out, his time is coming to an end. That is why he seemed to be fighting back with a greater ferocity. He wants us to give up by making us crumble to fear.
This outbreak started last Dec. If I didn’t hear God wrongly, I believe the end of the outbreak would be around Passover. 7 or 8 Apr. It shall happen suddenly just as the children of Israel was suddenly delivered from Egypt. They didn’t have the time to let the bread raise. They ate the Passover lamb in haste. They were told to dress themselves and to put sandals on their feet when they ate the Passover. They were getting ready to leave Egypt.
What happened next was that they plundered the Egyptians and was loaded with gold and silver. But before the tenth plague, Moses already told them to ask for articles of gold and silver from their Egyptian neighbours. It was backpay for their wages. No wonder God kept saying there will be a restoration of the things the enemy stole from us in the past season. We will be weighed down with the wealth of Egypt. This is also when the great transfer of wealth is taking place.
The other major thing that happened in Nisan was the crossing over of Jordan. This occurred on the 10 Nisan, which will be on 4 Apr in our Gregorian calendar. We are also at the place of crossing over, the final step taking us into our promised land. Moses had died and it represented the old us, so the old captive places are now dead. That is why there is a release from captivity and things that were difficult to overcome in the past are falling away in ease. Gods people are coming out of famine and barrenness into overflow.
Joshua 3:5 was given to God’s people the day before they crossed Jordan. So it means that it will take place on 3 Apr this year. There is a call to consecrate ourselves, to surrender to His will and stay close to the Lord now more than ever. The reason is clear. We are crossing over to our promised land very soon. And this is also why the prophets kept telling us not to give up now. Press into the pressure and we will break out into the new place. Pressing into the pressure is how we provoke a suddenly to manifest in our lives.
It seemed to me that the first week of Apr this year will be very significant. Things will begin to turn around from tomorrow but will culminate in the first week of Apr. So many things will happen in that week. 3 Apr: call to consecrate ourselves. 4 Apr: cross over Jordan. 7 Apr: last plague. 8 Apr: Passover feast. It also occurred to me that four days before the Passover feast, the Jews were told to bring an ewe lamb into their household to be slaughtered on the day of Passover. So this date coincided with the crossing of Jordan.
