EXERCISING OUR DOMINION

Yesterday Pastor Prince preached a powerful sermon. It was such a revelation for me. He preached about the seven seals in Revelations 5. It wasn't a good thing that the scroll was sealed. It has to be opened and the only One who is worthy to open the seals is Jesus. It is a scroll of redemption. Each seal has a bad and evil teaching over our life. Jesus has already redeemed our lives by payment of His blood and the finished work at the cross. This is redemption by payment.

But the devil is a squatter on earth. Even though he is already defeated and has to give up the property he illegally occupied, he refused to. Revelation 5-7 is talking about God redeeming this earth by His power. These chapters are not referring to the tribulation that the church will go through. By then we would have been raptured. We would be in heaven watching Jesus open the seals. The purpose of opening the seals was to evict the devil from possessing this earth. To force him to leave.

Pastor then mentioned about how sometimes we partake holy communion and the lying symptoms leave our bodies rather quickly. But other times we have to keep standing on this truth that Jesus has redeemed us from sickness and disease. We have to exercise the authority the Jesus gave to us to command the harassing spirit, the spirit of depression to leave our body in Jesus' name. Even if healing doesn't manifest soon enough, we got to stand firm in our faith and keep rejecting the sickness in Jesus' name.

After some time, the lying symptoms would have to leave because God's word always promises victory. The devil has no power nor the resources to hold an attack for long. He is no match for God. This is like redemption by power. We have to decide to possess our rightful inheritance no matter what it takes. God has given us the victory, all He wants is for us to tread upon every place of the Promised Land (Joshua 1:3).

Not only that we believers should also rise up to our position as co-heirs with Christ. Romans 8:19 says 'All creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.' Creation is groaning for the manifestation of sons of God. In the light of accelerated occurrences of natural and man made disasters, the church has been given the authority to pray against such calamities. But many of us couldn't believe that our prayers would be answered by God, not to mention to exercise our authority. We ask God to open our eyes to see clearly.
