Well, you would think it was just a simple camping trip but you wouldn't imagine the amount of things we bought and prepared just for this trip. We bought a four-men tent, an inflatable double mattress, camp lights, small portable fans (in case it gets hot at night), air pillows, picnic mats, snacks and lots of other stuff. We would be having a barbecue there for the kids to enjoy, as part of the package of camping. My brother-in-law even bought Bunsen burners and mess tins as he intended to cook instant noodles for us later.
Joshua was excited and has been counting down to this day, especially after all the preparations were made. He even wrote down a list of things to buy and to bring there. And two days before this trip, he already started parking these stuff into boxes. He was really looking forward to having a great time with his cousins there. Herein lies the intrinsic satisfaction of planning an event and preparing for it. The anticipation is part of the fun. Whether the actual experience is as good as we imagined, the point is the preparation process was enjoyable. God is good. Indeed through many experiences, I learnt that having planned and prepared for an event often gave me a better desired outcome because I was able to enjoy it more.
